Lee Einer Tegen, age 81, passed away peacefully at home after a battle with heart disease and cancer on Tuesday May 9, 2017. Lee was born July 18, 1935 in Tacoma WA to Einer and Ruth Redford Tegen. He had a brother Glenn and two sisters Karen and Gretchen. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Einer and Ruth; his stepfather Sandy Tveten and his sister Gretchen Gotchy. After graduation from High School Lee served 4 years in the Navy and visited Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Lee worked in electronics at Boeing, Pacific Electro Dynamics, Lawrence Medical and again at Pacific Electro Dynamics (now known as Astronics A.B.S.) from which he retired. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Joan; his children Brian and wife Lori, Lisa and husband Mike Chase and Bruce and wife Kim, and by grandchildren, Beau, Gabby, Dawn, Josh, Elsa, Jeremy, Jo, Nancy, David, and great grandchildren Luca, Gabe, Alex, Amari, Abrianna, Brandon, Derek and Natalie. Memorial service will be held Saturday May 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Hills Funeral Home 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue WA 98005.
