Kathleen Scott Peters

Kathleen S. Peters, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at the age of 72. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on December 29, 1950, in Hobbs, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Sarah (Sachse) Scott. Kathy attended West Virginia University and Mercy School of Nursing in Pittsburgh.

Kathy began her career as a Registered Nurse providing psychiatric care in a variety of settings. She eventually left the workforce and enjoyed her best years raising a family with her beloved and devoted husband of 53 years, Jon D. Peters. She will be greatly missed by Jon and her children Elizabeth (Jason), Jack (Claire), and Kate; her grandchildren Sam, Ethan, Sylvia, and Daphne; and her siblings Joanne and Dan. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda.

Kathy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family during their many vacations and creating fond memories for all at the New Jersey shore. She had many close friends from an active social life of dining clubs, church, playing bridge, and other community events.

An inurnment service will be held at 10:00am on January 15, 2024, at Acacia Memorial Park, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle, WA 98155.
