With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Joseph, who departed this life on September 16, 2023, at the age of 23 in Edmonds, WA to be with the Lord. Born on June 25, 2000, he was a cherished member of our Lynnwood and Edmonds communities and remained a resident of this beautiful area throughout his life.
Joseph was a soul of unparalleled beauty, a beacon of light, his striking presence complemented by a heart filled with humor, kindness, and boundless love. A genuine spirit, his laughter was infectious, and his kindness touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we mourn the loss of a life cut short, we find comfort in the myriad of memories we shared with him. From quiet evenings, summer barbecues, family and friend gatherings, hikes, to international travel escapades, He was a joy. His legacy is not only in the countless lives he touched but also in the lessons he imparted: to care deeply, love unconditionally, bring laughter, and to be a friend to all.
A passionate lover of the outdoors, he found solace and joy hiking the trails and embracing the natural beauty that surrounded him. He was always ready for the next journey with family and friends. Alongside these passions, Joseph was a student at Central Washington University, exemplifying his dedication and perseverance.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving siblings: two brothers, Adnan Kaya of Lynnwood, Jesse Watson of Nashville TN, three sisters, Mallory Watson, of Portland OR; Zehra Kaya of Lynnwood; and Sophia Watson of Lynnwood, brother in-law Tim Moore (Mallory’s husband); and cherished nephew and nieces, Mikah Kaya, Eleni Kaya, and Juniper Watson Moore. His unwavering love and commitment to family were evident in his bond with all his siblings and his parents, Katherine, and Rob Watson of Lynnwood, all of whom will forever deeply miss their beloved son and brother.
