
Rev. John Douglas Wade was born June 21, 1925 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Wyatt and Irene Wade. He was the seventh child of a family of eight children. At an early age, he joined Providence Baptist Church in Mississippi, where he served faithfully until he joined the US Navy.
He later moved to Seattle, Washington, where he worked at Seattle Marine Hospital and married Evelyn Thomas. Rev. John Wade was the pastor of Calvary Full Gospel Mission for seven years, and then merged with Full Gospel Pentecostal Federated Church in West Seattle, Washington, which he served faithfully until his health failed him.
On August 11, 2001, he was called to join his heavenly family. Rev. John Wade leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Evelyn Wade, two sons: Tryphonia and Joseph Wade, four daughters: Janice Johnson Darrell, Vera Wade, Vivian Bell Gary, and Regina Huff, all of Seattle, Washington. His sister, Vera Watson of Seattle, Washington, two brothers: Deloy Wade of Jonesville, Louisiana, and Ollie Wade of Oakland, California; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
