John Man Kong Kwan, age 64 years, resident of Olympia Washington, passed away surrounded by his family at 1:38 AM May 28th, 2014. His sudden stroke three weeks earlier came as a surprise to us all.
John was born May 24th, 1950 to Ho Quan and Theresa Yee in the Canton Province of mainland China. They moved to Hong Kong in 1954 and later immigrated to the United States in 1973. John married his life-long love, Evonne Ying Ping Or, in 1983 and lived together in Kaizer Oregon for six years, Kelso Washington for nine years, and Olympia Washington for thirteen years - all while raising two boys, Roger and Matthew. He enjoyed bike riding, socializing with family and friends, and sharing his favorite candies with those around him.
John is survived by his wife Evonne and sons Roger (Monica) and Matthew; Sisters Maria and Josephine, brothers Literati (Linda), Dominic (Sandy), Paul (Colleen), Joseph (Silvia), Evan (Judy), and many loving nieces and nephews.
