Joan was a homemaker and she filled the family home with love and happiness. She was an avid gardener and collector of antiques. She was a PTA mom, soccer mom and fierce supporter of her family. She never missed a school or sports event for her children. She never let an occasion go by without sending a greeting card.
She was kind, loving, gentle, fun, and she had the biggest heart. She was an excellent cook and made the best spaghetti and meatloaf.
She fought many health battles thru the years and defied medical odds so many times. She was a warrior, a fighter and our hero until her final moments.
Joan is survived by her loving and devoted husband George of Lake Forest Park, WA. Adoring and devoted children Debra Hindman, Bothell, WA; Brian (Michelle) Hindman, Marysville, WA.
Joan also leaves behind extended family and many family friends who treasured her as well.

We will miss her smile, her dimples, her laughter, her love of Christmas, her fondness for sweet pea flowers, her favorite color pink, her signature red nail polish and red lipstick. She never left the house without her sunglasses. She loved Swedish Fish Cakes, Seahawks football, any song by Elvis and every Christmas she had to watch It's a Wonderful Life over and over.
We love you and we will never forget you. We will always love you. And you will forever be in our hearts.
