She is survived by her brother, Melvin Walker of Pleasanton, CA, and beloved nieces and nephews, Ashlie, James and Alexander.
She grew up in what is now Shoreline, WA and graduated from Shoreline High School in 1986. She received her Accounting degree from Central Washington University and worked in that field for many years.
In 2016 she returned to school, enrolling in the University of Washington Museum Studies Program to become a museum curator, eventually working at the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum in La Conner, WA, a career which brought her joy and an outlet for her great creativity. She also enjoyed needlework and belonged to local needlework guilds.
She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She described herself as a “Seattle girl through-and-through.” She loved the ocean and the beach. She was a beachcomber. She never saw a lighthouse she didn’t like, although her favorite was Lime Kiln Lighthouse on San Juan Island. She was also enthusiastic about visiting National Parks and experiencing nature firsthand. She tried to share those interests with as many people as she could.
She was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a good friend, a good sister, a good aunt, and a good person in general. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Her friends and family can remember Jenny by donating to the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum (https://www.qfamuseum.org), visiting a National Park, and always keeping an eye out for whales and sea otters.
