James Christopher Clark, affectionately known as "Lil James," graced this world on December 30, 1969, in Seattle, Washington. He was born to the beautiful Douglas Anita Clark and James Clark. His life was a testament to resilience, unwavering love, and faith. James embarked on an amazing journey filled with joy and profound love for his friends and family. James lived a life brimming with love, passion, and joy.
He found immense happiness in participating in Special Olympics activities, where he displayed unwavering determination and sportsmanship. His love for R&B and gospel music illuminated his spirit, filling his days with melody. A true sports enthusiast, James was a dedicated fan of the Seattle Seahawks and NBA basketball, finding excitement in cheering for his beloved teams. Among his many pleasures in life, James eagerly anticipated attending group sessions, bowling with family, and immersing himself in the vibrant atmosphere of festivals and family gatherings.
He found solace and inspiration in listening to powerful preaching and cherished the tales of our family's history, always eager to learn and share. His gentle spirit and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. Last Christmas, he radiated joy as he fulfilled his dream of meeting Santa Claus, dressed in his finest attire with a smile that illuminated the room. A true lover of nature, James reveled in spending time outdoors, whether it was at the park or enjoying the company of young children playing basketball.
His involvement with Special Olympics and Friendship Adventures brought him immense joy and fulfillment, and he was honored to be named Drama Group director, sharing his creative talents with others.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, James transitioned from this life.
He is survived by his amazing sisters Vanita Clark, Phyllis Lemon, Malia Clark, and KaSheka Clark. He also will be remembered by his nieces and nephews. Donte, Janieca, Dominique, Jasmine, Darryl, Deauntre, and as well as a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.
James's spirit of love and compassion lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Rest peacefully, Lil’ James, knowing that your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
