We are so sorry for your loss. Jack and Frances were the main reason we moved to Milton-Freewater. We had many good times with them here and in Az. golfing and playing cards. We looked for a new home and they said come to Milton-Freewater and visit. That was almost 20 years ago. He will always be in our hearts as your Mother is. Pat & Bud Bartlett

Julie, Bob and family...I am so sorry for your loss...these comments say he was a very kind and fun-loving person! I am sure he is having a grand time cavorting in the skies in a mighty gold go-cart!  My sincere sympathies.

I have many great memories of Uncle Jack during my growing up years.  Both Jack and Francis were very generous hosts.  During our family vacation during Christmas holidays in 1959 we visited them in California City.  They took a day off and drove the family to Death Valley to see Scotties Castle and other sites in the valley.  It was a memorable trip.  Joanne and I also had the opportunity to spend time with Jack and Francis while they lived in Otis and Bay City Oregon.  Those were good times.  After Joanne and I retired we spent many hours with Jack in Arizona, Milton Freewater and Hermiston Oregon and Walla Walla Washington.  We have many wonderfull memories of those times spent with him.  It was a pleasure for both Joanne and I to draw closer to Uncle Jack during those years.  We miss him a lot.  God bless you Bob, Julie, Josh and Maria as you move forward without your Dad and Grandpa

Uncle Jack is at the center of one of my very favorite childhood memories.  When they lived in the California Mojave Desert, we visited them for Christmas one year.  Uncle Jack let us race his go karts out there on some back roads.  What fun we had!!  He and dear Aunt Francis were the greatest host and hostess providing us with fun snacks, playing games and just having lots of fun together.  I am so glad Uncle Jack was in my life. He always made me feel special whenever I was with him.  Bob and Julie, my prayers are with you in the coming days as you grieve the loss of such a key person in your lives.
