Irene Marie Shaw, 89, passed away July 19, 2013. Born to Emil and Mabel Vavra in Todd County Minnesota. Irene moved to Seattle in 1942 and worked at Boeing during WWII. After WWII Irene worked as a book binder for Seattle Public Library. She was an active member in The Daughters Of The Nile.
In 1951 she married Robert F.G. Shaw Jr. and was a resident of Burien Washington for 60 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
Irene is survived by two children, Robert F.G. Shaw III (Sandra) and Carol Kerns (John), Grandchildren, Jeff Kerns and Stephanie Darling (Jake) and four Great Grandchildren: Michael, Nicholas, Thomas and Hannah. She is also survived by sisters Marjorie Sams and Evelyn Arneson.
