Hung Kwan Ng, also affectionately known as Ross, passed away after a long battle with cancer on April 23rd, 2023 at home in Shoreline, Washington. He was surrounded by his wife, Suen Sun Wong, daughters, Tina Ng-Rudell and Wanda Ng, and son, Phillip Ng. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and dear friends in the Seattle community where he raised his family. Born in Shanghai in 1945, Hung Kwan immigrated from Hong Kong to Seattle in 1977, and successfully owned and operated a number of Chinese restaurants in the Puget Sound area before retiring. He was an avid badminton player in retirement and will be remembered for his love of classical music especially the violin which he also played. Hung Kwan Ng was dedicated to his family and was happiest when hosting weekly family meals. His cooking abilities as a seafood chef and generosity in sharing the joys of Chinese cuisine as a gourmand was admired by friends and family. He was laid to rest at Holyrood Cemetery.
