Henry E. "Hank" Magill passed away Monday evening, 03/04/2013. He was 96. He was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Magill. He was a graduate of Bothell High School, Class of 1936. He served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a firefighter for 25 years with the Seattle Fire Department, retiring in 1972. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Bothell Fire Department for 30 years. He was a Master Mason and Past Master at Ashler Lodge in Bothell and a Shriner with the Nile Temple.
He married Gwendolyn Beckstrom in 1941 and had two sons, Terry Magill and Allen Magill, three grandsons, Kevin Magill, Chris Magill, and Arly Magill, and a granddaughter, the late Ivy Schlund. Hank had two step-granddaughters, Alyson Abrams and Caroline Vervoort, and one step-grandson, Lt. Scott Abrams. He had seven great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Green Acres Mobile Home Park clubhouse on 03/30/2013, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Seattle Fire Department and/or the Bothell Fire Department.
