"It's hard to sum up a well-lived and well-loved life in just a few paragraphs.
When you live to 102, many of your friends and family—brothers, sisters, and, of course, Dad (Mack) —have passed on. After Dad passed away, we always wondered why Mom, who loved fishing, never wanted to go. We think it's because it made her miss Dad even more. So, she found some new passions, like walking with "the girls" on Beacon Hill or going to the casinos with her adult kids.
Mom peacefully passed away to a better place where she is, once again, a teenager, full of happy energy, fishing, and clam digging with Dad or laughing at the dinner table with her brothers and sister. And, as she did in this life, catching the biggest fish or hitting the jackpot on her favorite slot machines."
Mom is survived by her four children—Ron, Norm, Linda, and Alan. Her grandkids Alicia, Shelley, Christopher, Nicole, David, and Julie. And her great-grandkids, Zander, Kimiko, Hana, Maya and Ryker.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity or church.
Helen Yukiko Yamamoto, age 102, of Seattle. Washington passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024
