Born as the 8th in the large family of 10 siblings. Mrs. Ha Nguyen has learned to be strong in order to survive and respect. With the country fully engulfed in conflict growing up, our Mom decided to move toward South of Viet Nam and later was the owner of a business store. She met and married our Dad, Binh Vu, in Nha Trang and together they had 5 children: 3 sons and 2 daughters.
After Vietnam fell to the communist North in 1975, our Dad was sent into re-education camp and our Mom staying home to strike against difficult and challenging life. She continuously travelled to camp and provided needed food to her husband. Among facing with many uncertainties during the lost country, Mrs. Ha Nguyen not only a supportive wife, she also had a heart mother to raise 4 small children at 11 year old and under by herself, not count yet, she was pregnant the 5th one.
She tied her life only with family and started to chanting Buddha at her early 40. She was persistent, determination, and always confident herself everywhere she went. This could be the consequence to her more than 40 years into praying and passed away peacefully at age 82. Her spirit will always be remembered and lived on through her children.
