Greg had many talents, including a love and genius for fine woodworking, wood carving and auto mechanics. He created unique furniture for himself and others that are cherished as art. He loved his Dodge Darts, convertibles and anything Mopar. He could fix, rebuild or restore any vehicle and would take the time to teach and help others do the same. He also loved car shows, swap meets, antiquing and searching for eclectic treasures to decorate his apartment or give as gifts to loved ones.
Greg had a great sense of humor, unique laugh, loved music and reading, and lifted weights, jogged and cycled before it was cool; he passed on many traits and hobbies that his brothers and sisters carry on today.
Greg was unbelievably strong, and later in life fought and successfully won many battles with his health. While he leaves a void in the hearts of each family member, they are proud he shared his life with them, and happy that he will once again be playing Emmylou on the radio and cruising down Highway 101 in his ’63 Fury convertible.
He is survived by his mother, Doris, brothers and sisters Connie(Richard)Sanders, Larry Wiese, Julie(Bruce)Hanson, Lisa(Karl)Hansen, Tom(Wendy)Wiese, Margaret (Jeff Haack)Wiese, and Paul Wiese, his ten nieces and nephews Kim Wiese, Kady Wiese, Charlotte Sanders, Ryan Sanders, Stacey Hanson, John Paul Hansen, Branden Stewart, Dana Stewart, James Wiese, Brian Wiese and his great nephew Christian Taylor.
A private mass of the Christian Burial will be at Holy Family Church, Seattle. To leave an online condolence, please visit Yaringtons.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greg’s memory to SKCAC Industries in Kent, WA or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
