Gloria Galindo Trinidad, age 92, of Lynnwood, Washington passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was born on July 4, 1929 by parents, Marcos and Concepcion Galindo. She has 6 siblings named Manoy, Luming, Pura, Eloisa, Fe and Amelia. She has 9 grandchildren named Roxanne, Bong, Don, Ria, Roy, Maude, Bruce, Mae, Emerald and 11 great-grandchildren.
It was love at first sight when Benny Trinidad saw her through the window of a house in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. They got married in 1947 and had 3 daughters named Agnes, Celeste and Miriam. They lived in Quezon City and owned a customs and trucking business for decades which started in the mid 1950's. Gloria was a goal-getter. She wanted to finish college even after marrying her husband so she continued and graduated at Centro Escolar University with a degree in Education Major in Math.
Gloria was a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a mother, a sister and a friend to everyone. She is a very strong and intelligent woman. She was also a very good adviser especially with immigration issues. It was a great joy for her to help anyone who had questions or needing help in completing immigration paperwork. At her age, she was still writing affidavits and immigration letters. She may not be an immigration lawyer but she sure would like to bring everyone to the U.S. family or not. She was constantly on Facebook and Instagram checking out pictures and answering calls on Messenger and Viber. Her laptop and cell phone were her favorite gadgets.
Gloria is also known to be a generous person. She allows others to borrow money from her even if she knew that they will not pay her back right away. She helped four of her sisters with their paperwork to come to America in the early 80's. After two decades, she followed them in 2004. She was kind, good with numbers and kept records well-organized.
We may no longer see Gloria but we'll always have the special moments we shared with her. She will always have a special part in our hearts. Let's just be thankful that we were all a part of a special woman like Gloria. We are sure that she has reunited with her husband Benny and that are both watching over us. Rest in Paradise!
