On November 3, 2018 we celebrate the beautiful life of Fusaye Fuzzy Funai, and what would have been the 73rd anniversary of her marriage to her loving husband George. Fuzzy was born in Seattle, WA in 1922 to Murako and Harutoshi Kato. She prided herself on being tough and protecting her loved ones, especially her three siblings Haruo, Aki, and Suma. Her favorite activities included baseball, judo, swimming, fishing with her father, and eating sweets. Food became her way of showing love. Fuzzy and George were known to deliver strawberries, corned beef, matsutake, and her famous Fuzzy Bars to her friends and family. Fuzzy is survived by children Gwen Jefferson and Keith Funai (Brinn), granddaughters Kiyomi and Naomi Jefferson, Emiko Hill (Peter), and Midori Stamper (William); great-grandchildren Elijah Williams, Pia and Thomas Hill, Rae and Lucy Stamper; and sister Suma Yagi.
