~Celebrating a Beautiful Life Well Lived~ Frances Eleanor Peterson, 98, passed away on September 17, 2015. She left us peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her two children, Nancy & Lauri, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren (Son, Reid passed away in 2011). Born November 4th, 1916 in Seattle, Washington as an only child to Parents, Reid Victor Welty & Laurette Marie Moore. She attended Franklin High School (class of 1934) and was an University of Washington alumni where she gained a degree with focus on foreign languages (class of 1938). She was an active member of The Delta Delta Delta sorority "Tri-Delt" . In 1940 she was married to the absolute love of her life William Ellis "Bill" Peterson and was by his side until his passing in 1985. Together they enjoyed boating and traveling, and loved dancing and entertaining friends and family. Frances was a caring woman who had great love and appreciation for the little things in life. She adored her many pets, and was an avid organ player -regularly Playing tunes for the holidays and get-togethers. If you were lucky enough to be a part of the Peterson Christmas you could indulge in her infamous garlic toast and heavenly cookies. You could often find her knitting a beautiful afghan, watching tennis, and eating her favorite- apples and cheese. She was a very well-read woman and loved her many collections, including coins, stamps, agates, and pictures. Frances Peterson was loved very deeply by her family and was spoken highly of by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. May this beautiful mother, grandma, GG, Teepapete, friend, role model, and inspiration to us all rest in peace. ~You will forever be loved~
