His warmth, devotion and exemplary work and love of the faith was a passion and lifetime commitment. He was a faithful and devout Bahai member and to the end of his days, kept the Bahai faith closest to his heart and in his daily prayers.
Fon graduated from Garfield High School and grew up in south Seattle. His parents owned a laundromat in the International District. After high school, he enrolled in the Air Force and worked as a “weather man” stationed across the country. He retired from the US Postal Service after a career that spanned 30+ years.
Fon was a beloved husband and father of three children. He was a die-hard bowler and played in bowling leagues well into his twilight years. He had an amazing stride, graceful form, and prided himself in perfect scores. Fon loved taichi and often times would start off his day with taichi moves and stretching. There was a period in which he was a taichi instructor for those in the community.
