Evelyn was born on May 2nd, 1934, in Seattle, Washington, to Thomas and Florence Hines. Evelyn grew up in Issaquah, Washington. She lived in North Dakota and Montana a few years before moving back to Washington. Kirkland is the city she loved and called home most of her life.
Evelyn loved to spend time with her family. She was thoughtful and kind as a mother and grandmother. She also loved to bake breads, pies, and cookies and did so up until the last few years. Evelyn was most alive in her garden and grew the most beautiful flowers. She really did love living life. She is deeply missed.
Her parents; ten siblings; and her husband of 35 years, Stan Armstrong, preceded her in death.
Evelyn is survived by; daughters Bonnie Wolff, Patrice Christensen and Carla Carr; sons Norman Christensen, Kevin Christensen, Kim Christensen; eight grandchildren; Eric Christensen, Kirsten Christensen, Jesse Christensen, Sarah Christensen, Anna Wolff, James Carr, Chantel Carr, and Tanner Carr; and six great grandchildren. She also had three daughters by marriage; Kathy Anderson, Dee Dee Hedin, and Julie Carbary; and numerous grandchildren by marriage. Her sister, Mary Talton, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. All were blessed to have had her in their lives.
