On 4th January 1962, he married Lila Manago. They raised two sons, Ernesto Jr and Eduardo, and a daughter, Marivic (Lily). Ernesto retired as a Manager of PAD (Philippine Association of the Deaf) Coffee
Shop in Luneta Park, Manila, Philippines. He served as a Board of Director of PAD until he retired.
He moved and lived in Seattle, Washington for the last 30 years. One of his many interests is basketball. During his younger years he was a varsity player and later became Head Coach of the PAD team.
He loved to take pictures and captured priceless moments with friends and family. He collected caps (hats). He always wore his favorite cap everywhere paired with his sunglass.
Ernesto was preceded in death by his wife, Lila. He is survived by his children, Marivic (Lily) married to Marlon Ramirez, Ernesto Jr. married to Brenda, Eduardo married to Tess; and his eight grandchildren: Mikhail, Myron, Eliezer, Elisha, Elise, Keren, Kathleen and Kirsten; two great grandchildren, Mila and Jacob; his brother, Roger and sisters Norma Liao and Rosa Jimenez.
Ernesto was an adoring husband, a supportive and generous father; exceptionally loved by his parents and siblings, and esteemed by all his friends.
