Encarnacion “Siony” Porcincula, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, in Puyallup, Washington. Siony married Felipe Porcincula in Tondo, Manila, Philippines, in 1952. In 1977, they immigrated to Seattle with most of their ten children, followed by the eldest who joined them a few years later. Her old multigenerational home in Seattle Central District was a welcoming gathering place for their large extended family. Siony worked for 30 years at various jobs and retired from Trident Seafood in Alaska. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, playing mah jong, and “gallivanting” at the casino. Siony was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe N. Porcincula, Sr., son Reynaldo, and grandchild Sherly. Siony is survived by her beloved children: Joseph (Patricia), Felipe Jr. “Sonny” (Lilia), Danilo Sr., Sullivan Sr. (Sandi), Edwin (Annabelle), Carmen (Pok Chan), Evelyn (John Foster, Jr), Elizabeth, Roy, daughter-in-law Vickie Raspa Porcincula, plus 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Siony is also survived by her brother Virgilio Tamayo, brother-in-law Sergio Porcincula, Jr, and numerous nieces and nephews.
