Eileen Rose Klafter passed away in Seattle, Washington on July 8, 2022 after a brief and acute illness. She was forty years old. Eileen grew up in San Francisco, a fourth generation San Franciscan on her mother’s side, where she attended The Hamlin School and Urban School of San Francisco.
Eileen majored in Comparative Religion at the University of Washington and received her teaching credential in Special Education at San Francisco State University. She worked as a special education teacher and an early childhood educator in both San Francisco and Seattle. In addition to being around children, Eileen loved spending time with her rescue dogs, Wesley and Lucy and close friends from college, high school, and even elementary school. She enjoyed being outdoors in the Seattle area and she loved watching Jeopardy and Golden Girls.
Eileen is survived by her father Cary and his partner, Kathy, her brother Ben and his partner Juliette, sister Anna, brother-in-law Jason and beloved nephew and niece, Reuben and Naomi.
