Earnest "Ernie" LaFayette Bozeman was born on May 20th, 1920 in Bessemer, Alabama to Octo Claude and Bessie (Parton) Bozeman. He was the first born of six children that were raised in the Montgomery, Alabama area. His life path drastically changed when he enlisted in the military at a young age. He proudly served as an 2nd Class Electrician's Mate in the Navy and was later drafted into the Army during WWII, stationed aboard the Saratoga Naval Ship in the South Pacific Ocean. As a proud Veteran, Ernest was a member of both the VFW and Eagles Club. His military service taught him hard work ethics that he carried out in his professional career as an Independent Sales Agent. He won multiple awards during his sales career, retiring in 1982. He was always very outgoing and focused on planning every detail possible. While he was stationed in Bremerton, Washington, Earnest met the love of his life and best friend, Florence Owens, at a dance in Monroe. After he was honorably discharged from his military service, the two were married and started their family. His enjoyed many hobbies included dancing, fishing, and hunting. Earnest passed away in his resident city of over 60 years in Renton, Washington on June 9th, 2013. He joins his wife, Florence; brother, Jerry; sisters, Marie and Bess; and his parents. He leaves behind two sisters, Dorothy “Dot” and Lilly; son, Ernie; daughter, Virginia; six grandchildren; Rick, Tammy, Steve, Danny, Ryan, and Dylan; seven great grandchildren; and many loving extended family and friends. A Funeral and Committal Service will be held at 2PM on Friday, June 14th, 2013 at Acacia Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Seattle, Washington. A loving man has left our lives but will live on in our hearts forever.
