Doris Margaret McKnight Giles

On Tuesday, May 21st, at 6:30 am, Doris (McKnight) Giles passed in her sleep with her son, David, at her side. Handel's Messiah was playing softly during her final hours at Harborview Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Simonson; son, David Giles; brother, Larry McKnight, and her long-time companion, Al Sangston; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris' husband, Edward C. Giles, passed away in 1976. An informal graveside service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 am at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle, where many of her family have preceded her. Her memory will be for a blessing.
