Donna was born on March 24, 1941 in Galena, Kansas. She was the daughter of Marion and Christine Dickson. The family moved to Issaquah when she was young. She obtained her GED, while raising her four children.
She held different positions in life, not only as a mother, but also as a waitress, assembler and as a cost analyst, just to name a few.
Donna had a variety of interests. While living in Redmond, she was very proud of the garden that she put together. She loved to give people a tour, and point out the different flowers, and vegetables that she had planted. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Maui and Alaska. Later in life, she enjoyed surrounding herself with toy poodles.
She was a real storyteller. She always had a story for each of her possessions, as well as her family and growing up. If you were willing to lend her an ear, she had a story for you.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Hiatt, Ron (JR) Hiatt (Jolene), and daughter, Cindy Prather. She also has 5 grandchildren, Josh, Amanda, Alyssa, Nick and Chris, as well as 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Dickson, Richard Dickson and Peggy Readnour, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and sign the family’s online guest book at www.flintofts.com.
