Donald George Johnson

We lost Don on August 10, 2011 after a battle with cancer. Don was a Gentleman and a Scholar. He was born in Ontario, Canada on October 2, 1931 and later moved to British Columbia where he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After moving to the United States, Don enjoyed a fulfilling career working at Boeing, the Port of Tacoma, and eventually retiring from Metro Seattle.

Don is survived by his long time love, Phyllis Van Haute; brother, Ralph; five children, Tina, Daphne, Matthew, Sarah, Juli; and eight grandchildren.

Don will be remembered always for being hard working and friendly and always having a silly joke. He was caring father and loving companion. We will miss him dearly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 – 11:00 AM at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 22209 – 58th Ave W, Mountlake Terrace, WA with a Rosary to be said starting at 10:15.
