Dolores (Dorrie, Dolly) Rosen (Siegel), age 83 of Seattle, WA passed away from COVID-19 on August 2, 2020. Preceded in death by her parents, (Mary and Harry Siegel), brothers, Sydney Siegel and Hyman Siegel and their spouses and niece Sherry Satter. Dorrie’s husband, Perry Rosen, died 8 days later after contracting the coronavirus. Survived by children Scott Rosen of Eden Prairie, MN, Valerie Rosen (Steve Byther) of Seattle, WA and grandchildren Max, Rebecca (Becky) and Haley Rosen. Dorrie leaves nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and many friends who mourn her. Dorrie grew up in Brookline, MA and received her Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College where she met her husband Perry who was a graduate student at Columbia University. Dorrie and Perry were married in 1960 and raised their family in North Caldwell, NJ. They lived there until they moved to the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle in 2000. After graduating from Barnard, Dorrie earned an MBA from Seton Hall University and achieved her CFA charter. She worked as a money manager for some of the large brokerage firms and then opened her own investment management company, Chatham Street Management Corporation, in 1980. Dorrie continued to work until she was admitted to the hospital with coronavirus. Dorrie was active in the Barnard Club of Seattle and Alumni Association, played piano, enjoyed reading, the arts, and spending time with her family. A Zoom memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 pm. CST on Sunday, November 15th.
