Dawn and I took a side road trip to Las Vegas after a friend's wedding in Scottsdale Arizona but on the way of course we had to stop at the various sites including the Grand Canyon.  Two of my favorite pictures below is of her bravery and humor. She insisted I take pictures of her with a large Raven in Grand Canyon Park and with a huge moose by our hotel just before the entrance of the Grand Canyon.  She actually wanted to take it beside the moose outside of the car but I made sure she stayed in the car with the window down and I took the picture quickly. Just one of many adventurous memories with Dawn.  See 3 pictures following this post.  I will so miss this special woman who impacted so many lives with so much love. Joy, humor and adventure. A true friend.

Dawn and I were in the same neighborhood for 30-some years and my sons were close in age to her sons so early on I would see Dawn often at school functions as well as events around our community.  I joined the same Bunco group with the girls and Dawn always kept us laughing.   Everyone just loved Dawn!
When my son called and gave me the sad news that she had passed he included this message:  
"Just really sad to hear. Really gonna miss Dawn, she always treated both of her sons friends like they were her own, truly a special person that will very much missed by anyone that was fortunate enough to have had the chance to know her".
He couldn't have said it better!  Condolences to all.
