David A. Maxwell passed away in Seattle September 14, 2017, at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tracy Maxwell, and their daughter Malia. David was born and raised in Bay Shore, New York, the son of Darrell & RoseAnn Maxwell. He received a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and an MS in Construction Engineering & Management from the University of Washington. Early work experiences included several years with Outward Bound, in Colorado and two years as a volunteer with the US Peace Corps, in Paraguay, South America. His main career encompassed 30 years in residential home and other construction with Geonerco Management, of Seattle. David loved life. For him it was one incredible adventure. To those who knew him he was many things: a pilot, a mountain climber, a camper, a fisherman, a teacher of outdoor skills, a tree trimmer, a golfer, a cyclist, a cook and connoisseur of fine dining, a builder, a problem-solver, and most important of all, a loving husband, father and friend. In addition to his wife and daughter, David is survived by his mother RoseAnn and sister Kim, in Holiday, Florida; brothers Darrell (Carol) and Steven (Karen) of New York; brother Michael (Sue) of Lutz, Florida; nieces Courtney, Lindsay, Caitlin and Madison; nephews Darrell and Drew; and his many close friends, all of whom love him and miss him. In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests one may want to consider a contribution to the charity of one's choice.
