Daniel was born in Spokane, Washington the son of Ward and Margaret Toner. He was a traveling man early on living in Spokane and Seattle. He graduated from Garfield High School and joined the Army at 18 as many young men do. Upon completion of his service to his country he married and had his six children with his first wife Carol. He traveled the world while working for Boeing as an electronic technician. He later worked for the elevator industry and had many a tale of trapped passengers having to be rescued. He married a second time to his final love Joy. Dan and Joy were snowbirds and have many a memory of watching the Mariners during spring training, playing golf every day and living out there retirement in the sun until his cancer made him come home to Bothell.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joy, his two sisters, Roberta Brown and Linda Haydock, his two brothers David Toner and Father Kenneth Haydock, his six children: Terri Marsolais, Daniel Toner, Michael Toner, Tammi Williams, Robert Toner and Mark Toner, three grandchildren Kevin, Sam and Sydney from his first marriage and two stepchildren: Leslie Zacher and Christian Winn, 3 grandchildren: Leslie, Lonnie and Tracy.
