On October 14th, 2019, Daniel William Linehan gave up his valiant fight against cancer. Husband, father, grandfather and uncle, all those who met him loved him. He worked at Hostess Cakes until its closure in 2012. Prior to Hostess cakes, he was a chef at several local restaurants including the Tiki Hut on Elliot. He is survived by his wife Vikki; his children - Patrick, Kristina, Deanne, Robert and Richard; his grandchildren - Alyssa, Kendra, Cohen, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Justin, Connor, and Kaleb; his great-grandchildren - Kristofur and Madison; his sisters - Barbara and Linda and his brother - John. He had many pastimes and hobbies during his life - Watching all Seattle sports teams on T.V., playing hockey for the West Seattle Flyers, league bowling, cooking, golfing, pinochle, billiards, darts, playing poker, crossword puzzles, and trivia. He was a collector of lots of things, including sports cards, starting lineups, lego minifigures, and of course hot wheels, hot wheels, hot wheels...oh and did we mention hot wheels? He always made people laugh, told dad jokes, and had an excellent memory of what people liked.
The Family requests donations be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center or Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in lieu of flowers.
