Curtiss Lionel Davis was born December 2, 1958, in Seattle, WA to L.C. and Patricia Davis. He was the first of two children born to this union. Curtiss attended Seattle Public Schools graduating from Garfield High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and upon his return home, he decided to go to Alaska to work on the fishing boats. He worked there for years until an injury prevented his return.
Curtiss was the proud dad to one daughter, Arnita, who was named after his grandmother. In early 1997, Curtiss met Efigenia "Gina" Sabulaan, the woman that would be the love of his life. Making their love official, on December 13, 1997, they were united in holy matrimony. They were inseparable, traveling and making many precious memories.
A fun spirited person to be around, Curtiss would always make jokes and keep you laughing. That was his way of making you feel at ease and know you were welcome.
When Gina passed, Curtiss’ bright light dimmed. Life just wasn’t the same without her. Even through his health issues, he held his love for her. On August 1, 2023, that light dimmed for the last time. He was reunited with his love.
Curtiss leaves to cherish his legacy: Mom Patricia Childress; brothers Leland C. Davis, Ronald Davis, Darrel Davis, Lonnie Davis, Ronnie Davis, Sherwin Davis, and Derrick Davis; sister Jeannea Davis; daughter Arnita Davis; One grandson; Aunt Jeani Bennett; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
