Connie Lou Corpuz peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2023, at the age of 85. She succumbed to health issues following her fall the day after Thanksgiving and was cared for at home by family when she passed. When she arrived home, she asked for a burger from Dick's and informed her granddaughter of her desire for a manicure and pedicure, specifying the preferred polish color.
Born on March 4, 1938, in Raymond, WA, to Clarence and Helen Orkney, Connie, along with her sister Doris, ventured to Seattle after completing high school. In the bustling city, she began her career as a parking attendant at the 3rd & Stewart garage, a landmark that still stands. Subsequently, she worked as a secretary at Smith Tower and the Westin Hotel, concluding her professional journey with a dedicated service at the King County Juvenile Center, where she retired.
In 1959, Connie met her husband Ron at the First Baptist Church in Seattle, WA. Their union in 1961 marked the beginning of 59 years of shared life. Together, they raised two sons, Todd and Del. Upon retirement, they settled in Lynnwood, WA, embarking on adventures with friends and family. Connie cherished moments of playing board games and relishing time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed watching 700 Club.
We now know that with fond memories she dances and sings with the angels and will always be kept in our hearts. Connie is survived by her sons Todd (Lisa) and Del (Percy), along with grandchildren Cricket (Rashaud), Khristopher (Heileen), Daniel (Shayna), Joshua, Kaleb, and great-grandchildren Raejhaun, Consuelia, Kaikea, and Leia.
