Christian Joy Parish

Christian J. Parish was born September 12, 1981 in Youngstown, Ohio. The oldest child to Willie and Sherill Parish. She lived in Ohio until the age of 16, when the family moved to Seattle, Washington in 1998. She attended and graduated from Kentridge High School in Kent, Washington.

After high school, she attended the Medical Assistant program at Renton Technical College and was employed by Prestige Senior Living-Auburn Meadows. Christian was compassionate and loving of those she cared for, accepting Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Jayden and Kane.

Christian went home to be with the Lord August 7, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Jayden A. Parish and Kane A. Parish (Kent, WA); parents Willie and Sherill Parish (Auburn, WA); brother Brandon (Heather) Parish; niece Jaidah, nephew Justus (Puyallup, WA); grandmother Barbara Aziz (Youngstown, OH); and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her grandparents Robert and Esther Board (Elyria, OH); great-grandmother Mable Barnett (Youngstown, OH).

Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Wednesday, August 19 at Crossroads Christian Center, 43824 State Route 511 East, Oberlin, OH 44074, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11am-12:30pm. Pastor Willie Parish, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Brookdale Cemetery.
