Chandler Holden Baker passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on February 20, 2012. Chandler was born on January 25, 1992 to his loving parents David and Denise Baker. He resided in the family home in Lake Forest Park, WA his entire life and attended Shoreline Schools graduating from Shorecrest High School in 2010.
Chandler attended Edmonds Community College in 2011 and was planning on attending the Seattle Maritime Academy this fall to obtain his captain’s license.
Growing up Chandler participated in many different sports and activities in the community. He had a love for the water and boating. He enjoyed cruising in the family boat on Puget Sound and in the San Juan/Canadian Gulf Islands. Chandler also had a love for water sports on Lake Washington and the Columbia River at Crescent Bar. He was also an avid snowboarder at Stevens Pass and the family’s annual trip to Whistler, B.C.
Chandler was never seen without a smile on his face. He lit up every room he entered, leaving a positive influence on all who met him. As someone said in a Facebook quote; “you are loved by so many it is a blessing that people like you are cemented into so many hearts and lives. Even though your time here wasn’t nearly long enough, your story lives on buddy, because all of these people miss you and will remember you and will share the life of Chandler Baker with everyone they meet because you’re with all of them.”
One of Chandler’s last comments to his mother was; “I’m Living Life Mom, Just living life”. A very true statement as Chandler did indeed live life to the fullest every single day. One of his favorite posters had the following statement on it; “Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today” -James Dean.
Chandler is survived by his parents David and Denise Baker, his brother Brandon Baker, his best friend and love of his life, Aluna Ademasu. His grandparents C.
