I was a friend of Dick Phillips since grade school and went to high school with Carol. In our senior year book there is a picture of Carol and I serving as the Inaugural Ball king and queen. We are wearing ridiculous looking crowns. She was a sweet person and I considered Dick to be a good and memorable childhood friend along with being a great musical talent. Rest In Peace Carol.

   A very special and loving lady who was my best friend when I first moved to Seattle.  We went to swimming and exercise together.
She was always caring for others and was very strong herself.  Her family and husband, meant so much to her, and she to them.

In Montana with Carol.  It was so funny driving thru eastern Washington and Carol was saying how hot she was.  She was on the sunny side of the car.  Then we stopped at a vegetable stand and discovered her seat heater was on!  That laugh was so fun.  Grounded and warm, just like her.

Carol was a wonderful aunt!  So fun and so caring.  

I remember being in awe of Carol. She embodied what it was like to be cool in the sixties. From her mid-sixties pencil skirts and flip hair do's, to the braids and embroidered blouses of the late sixties and early seventies, she was everything I aspired to be.  I saw her as a strong woman who knew what she wanted and how to speak her mind. Something I still struggle with. She had a laugh that I will never forget. I feel so fortunate to be a part of such a large extended family. Going to Lincoln every summer was the highlight of my youth. I send all my love to my cousins and their families.  

I had not seen Carol for many, many years - but my childhood memories of her as a beautiful, loving spirit with a charming smile will stay with me forever.  I send my sympathy and deepest condolences to her family and all my Mueting cousins on the loss of their beloved Carol. 

Carol lived next to the house I grew up in. So, I feel like I grew up with her. My brothers and I loved to play outside, and Carol always said hi or smiled if we were all outside at the same time. I remember how well she took care of her yard. I also remember her poking fun when our mom made us do yard work. I didn't think it was funny then, but now I appreciate her sense of humor.

 For me, Carol's transition is a harsh reminder that time is always on our bumper. But memories of how she took care of her home remind me to appreciate the gifts I have been given and enjoy the people around me.

Thank you for the memories and for being a friend to my grandma and mom. 

You all will always have a family at 411. 

Carol was my most wonderful friend.  We worked together for over 20 years and did things together outside of work with our kids as they were growing up.  I loved Carol very much and treasured her as  my most dear friend.  After the family moved to Seattle we spoke on the phone frequently, sometimes weekly.  I'll miss our phone visits so very much.  My husband and I visited Carol and Dick in WA many times and they would see us whenever they came to NoCal.  
She was a wonderful friend and a compassionate nurse.  Everyone loved to work with her and her patients adored her.  She was held in the highest regard by the doctors she worked with.
I'll miss her always and until we see each other again, keep smiling and laughing, Carol.
