Carol was a spectacular woman and friend. I’m sorry we fell out of touch—I miss her laugh and our visits—they were always a highlight for me. My sincere condolences to her family.

Dear Ed & Family,

I am so heartbroken over hearing of Carol's passing.  My name is Inge Kaiser (Krippaehne).  We were neighbors of the Perrin's for most of the time they lived in Laurelhurst.  Carol and Ed were also our "other grandparents" that lived next door.  Carol was also my preschool teacher at The Children's School. I will always remember her smile and calming voice. Many afternoons were spent at the Perrins, baking cookies, learning about flowers and the garden. I specifically remember every May Day (she loved May Day) we would go ring their doorbell with a homemade basket of flowers. We had to make sure she never saw us (and she would mention later that someone left her flowers for May Day). Ed-- you were the best neighbors and always looked out for us 4 kids.  You were also very special to my parents, Bill & Michelle Krippaehne. 

My condolences to you and your family.  I'm sorry I haven't stayed in touch over the years-- it's busy having a family of your own.  These photos you posted are EXACTLY how I remember her and always will.
