Bruce was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Justus and Glenda (Dauve) George. He was the eldest of their four children. While he was still young, the family moved to Seattle eventually settling on the north end of Greenlake.
Bruce attended Seguin School, a private elementary for students with special needs. He was then partially integrated into Wilson Middle School before becoming a full time student at Lincoln High School (Seattle). At Lincoln, he adapted very well: working hard in his classes, being active in the community and making many friends. As a senior, he was selected "Most Outgoing Personality." In 1977, he proudly graduated alongside his younger sister, Marilyn.
Bruce worked at Price Photo on Roosevelt for 18 years. He then worked briefly for Sears before finding employments as a lot attendant for Home Depot at Aurora Village. He loved working there with the staff and customers, claiming there was no place he would rather be. He finally retired from there in March of 2025, after a fulfilling 25 years.
Bruce was a huge sports fan, closely following teams such as the UW Huskies, Seahawks, Mariners and Krakens. He also enjoyed going to movies and had a large and varied video library and knowledge about actors and movies.
He was preceeded in death by his parents. Bruce is survived by his sisters Janice (Dave) Bishop and Marilyn (Daniel) Gonzalez, and his brother Dave (Adele) George. There are also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who love him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Perrin Romine and the nurses at Swedish Oncology, Edmonds and the staff at Lynnwood Post Acute Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care and compassion.
