

Anne Allen Reece, RN, age 99, Beloved Christian Matriarch Mother, BFF, July 22, 1922 ~ April 4, 2022, peacefully passed away from natural causes to be eternally reunited with her Savior Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, very close to her upcoming 100th birthday. Anne was born in Ketchikan, AK, as an indigenous Tlingit Alaska Native American, Raven Clan lineage. Anne was proud of her proficient skill of speaking fluent Tlingit Language as her Alaskan Native culture.
Anne attended Sheldon Jackson School and College, Sitka, AK and graduated with her High School Diploma in 1946 at Sequoyah High School, Tahlequah, OK. Anne graduated from the Muskogee General Hospital School and College of Nursing in OK, 1946-1949 as a Registered Nurse, specializing in the medical field as an ER RN.
Anne had faced many adversities in her lifetime, including a difficult heartbreaking decision to relinquish custody of three of her young children to ensure that they have a much better life than she could provide them as she was a working single mother, and she was faithfully sustaining own her life as a sole-surviving orphaned child herself, which she had endured hardships, resulting in PTSD by surviving domestic abuse, in order to pursue her Nursing education to secure her livelihood and career as a Registered Nurse.
In Washington state, Anne resided along with her family in the cities of Seattle, Tacoma, Milton, Marysville, Everett and Federal Way. In other US states, Anne also lived with her family in Ketchikan, AK; Tulsa OK; Kansas City, Kansas; New Orleans LA; Huntsville AL; and Waveland MS.
Anne enjoyed a full life working at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) in Tacoma, WA from 1975 thru 1993, as the Puyallup Tribe’s Community Healthcare Program Manager and Registered Nurse. Anne was a health educator at heart in her RN Field Rep visits in the Puyallup Tribe’s Elders homes to perform medical healthcare checkups. Anne was presented with an Award for Appreciation for 18+ Years of Outstanding Service from the Puyallup Tribe at age of 71 in her 1993 Retirement year and Celebration dinner.
Anne happily enjoyed playing the piano and an electronic organ in her home as music appreciation and family quality times. In her childhood, Anne was raised in the Catholic faith. Anne read and studied the Bible religiously daily with family prayers, committed to her Faith and strongly believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior in Heaven, as guidance in her Christian life. Anne had a courageous strong hope to live up to age 100, and her unwavering faith in God; however, she had to transfer this Journey of Passing the Torch to her surviving family generations to carry on her Legacy and Faith to surpass that Centennial 100th year to live our best life to the fullest, as the best are yet to come.

Anne’s hobbies included the horticulture art of roses, family visits, cooking salmon meals, home-made baked goodies, crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting, ballroom dancing to the Big Band music, and attending Native American Full-Regalia Tribal PowWows and cultural Native American dancing to Tribal Songs and to the thunderous heartbeats of the PowWow Drums.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Lee Allen (1858~1939) Petersburg, AK; and Suzie James George Allen (1894~1927) Ketchikan, AK; as well as her beloved two brothers: Henry (Harold) Joseph Allen, (1917~1931) of AK; and William (Willie) George Allen Sr (1905~1963), Petersburg, AK; her late 1st husband, Arnold Earl Gray (1915~2002) Morehead City, NC; and her late 2nd husband, Earl H Reece, Sr (1923~2008) Tulsa, OK; and her late beloved daughter Cindy Jerominski Lien (1951 ~ 2003) Winter Park, FL; and her late beloved son, Earl Harold Reece Jr (1952~2017) Marysville, WA; and her late beloved granddaughter Elizabeth Gray (1976~2019) Oklahoma City, OK.
Anne’s beloved late son, Earl Reece Jr, deserves full recognition as his devotion to his mother and his firm belief in God supported him as a Caregiver to his mother, as they resided together for 64 years. Earl Jr had a valiant fight with Esophageal cancer from 2009 until 2017, when he returned to his heavenly home on to be with his savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sustaining Anne’s Legacy are survived by her son, Arnold Allen Gray of Las Vegas, NV; her daughter, Rosemary Susanne Gray of Glendale, AZ; her son, George William (Kristin) Hummingbird of Tulsa, Ok; her son, Robin Monte Reece (Nancy) of South Carolina; and her youngest daughter, Candace Reece Aduddell (Robert) of Federal Way, WA. Anne was blessed as a proud mother of 7 children and loved her grandchildren: Chad Allen Gray; Brian Hummingbird; Brandon Hummingbird; Laura Littrell; Eric Jerominski; Misty Shirah; Melissa Bustraan; Rachel Reece, and loved her many great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of Anne's family, friends, nurses, caseworkers, and caregivers who have supported her over the years. She loved you all!

Services will occur Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, Washington 98133.
Followed by a graveside committal at Abbey View Memorial Park, 3601 Alaska Road, Brier, WA 98036.
