Alice was born on October 10th, 1936 in Spokane, Washington, where she lived her entire life. Alice was known for her friendly and kind demeanor, always ready with a smile and a listening ear. She had a compassionate heart, and her dedication to serving others was evident in her work as a trained x-ray technician, as well as her involvement with the ARC of Spokane. As a board member of the organization, Alice made a significant impact on the lives of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and she frequently chaperoned special olympic trips, providing support and encouragement to athletes. Alice was a long-time member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, where she was actively involved in numerous activities, including bake sales, craft sales, and bazaars. She was particularly well-known for her skills in organizing and cooking for teriyaki and sukiyaki dinners, which were highly anticipated events in the church community. Alice was a devoted mother to her two sons, Joey and Mikel, and a loving mother-in-law to her daughter-in-law, Noriko. She took great joy in spending time with her family. Services to celebrate Alice's life will be held on July 8th at 4pm at Highland Park United Methodist Church, located at 611 S. Garfield in Spokane. All those who knew Alice are invited to attend and honor her memory. Alice will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many individuals whose lives she touched with her kindness and compassion.
