Steven Max Petree

Steven Max Petree - born in Brawley, CA; raised in San Gabriel, CA; graduated San Gabriel High 1975; served in Navy 1975 - 1979; journeyman electrician; avid sailor, motorcyclist, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. An inspiration!

Steve’s love, passion, kindness, old-school way, adventuresome spirit, courage, and strength, made him a huge presence in the lives of others. He lived his motto, “More Faith Than Fear” as he battled multiple myeloma with grace and strength. In the end, Steve found peace, knowing he had done his best and would soon meet the God he passionately loved and trusted.

On Sunday, April 15, 2018, after days of family love and farewells, with his loving wife and devoted dog sleeping by his side, Steven Max Petree set sail on his greatest voyage when he departed this earth’s shore at 11pm, bound for Heaven.

Steve is deeply missed by his: wife Barbara Oden-Petree, daughter Heather Petree, son Steven “Kyle” Petree, mother of his children Laurie Newvine, daughter-in-law Katy, sister Lori Love, and brother Bruce Petree. He has been reunited with his: father Johnny Petree, mother Dorothy Petree, brother David Petree, and other loved ones.
