Robert Temple Dearman Jr.

It is with heavy heart, but fond memories, that we announce the passing of Robert (/bob) Temple Dearman, Junior. Bod was born on November 22, 1940, in Meridian MS to Robert and Geogia Dearman, an peacefully entered into eternal life on June 25, 2017, in Monterey, Ca. Bob was raised in San Antonio, Tx and enlisted in the U.S. force after high school and earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. During his 50 years of patriotic military service, Bob earned numerous decorations and citations including the distinguished flying cross, air force medal and Vietnam Service Medal. It was during his tour of duty as a Chinese linguist instructor at the defense language institute in Monterey CA that he me the love of his life, Hiromi. In March 1976' Bob and Hiromi married, and Bob became and instant dad to Hiromi's 11 year old son, Roy. Bob and Hiromi settled on the Monterey Peninsula. Although living in California for decades, Bob was always a Texan at heart. He hiked wearing his western apparel and had a fondness for guns and hunting. Bob had a great talent for building model airplanes that was admired by many. After military retirement, Bob was eager to continue working and enjoyed a successful second career with the U.S. Postal Service that lasted over 20 years. Retirement gave Bob the time to dive into his other passion for reading and he earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts & Literature from the University of New York.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Georgia Dearman. Bob is survived by his loving wife Hiromi, son Roy Kearns and wife Sandri, grandsons, Bradley Kearns and Casey Kearns, granddaughter Ashley Jones, and great granddaughters Savannah and Serena . Bob also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother-in-law Fumi Robinson, brother-in-law Byron Robinson and wife June, sister-in-lay Judi Swansey and husband Michael; brother-in-law Willie Robinson and wife Linda and a host of nephews abd nieces that will miss his kindest and generosity.
