Carmel Valley – Son of local fisherman, Ignacio Favalora and mother, Enas Favalora, he was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula but resided in Carmel Valley. He graduated from Junipero Memorial High School, Class of 1965 and also attended MPC and graduated with high honors at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dominic went on to establish a very successful chiropractic practice in Monterey for over 20 years.
He was a Founding Father of Monterey Peninsula Chiropractic Society, President of Hobie Fleet 222, President of American Bikers Aim Toward Education, Local 35, member of Cousins Car Club, member of the Royal Order of the Moose and a Mason. He was an avid motorcycle rider and classic automobile collector. He loved fishing, camping and above all, his very large family.
Dominic is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 15 years, Jackie Favalora; mother, Enas Favalora; sister, Angela Peters; brother-in-law, Mark Peters; three daughters, 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a niece.
In his last few days with us he was lovingly supported by his family and close friends. He passed away peacefully of kidney cancer on November 16, 2013 at 66 years of age, surrounded by his wife, Jackie Favalora; nephew, Jay Cushman; and best friend, Patrick Steppuhn.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 4:00pm at Moose Lodge in Del Rey Oaks, CA. Contributions are preferred to Stanford University Kidney Cancer
