Violet Taylor, age 82, entered into rest on January 23, 2023 in Athens, Texas. She entered into life on December 20, 1940 in Wills Point, Texas, to John and Syble Spears. Violet was raised in Dallas, Texas.
She married Bill Taylor in June 1987 and the couple had 9 children. She was a seamstress for most of her life.
In her spare time Violet enjoyed playing her tablet, sewing, getting her hair done, fishing, planting flowers, sleeping, and most of all staying warm and cozy. Her family and friends will always remember her as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the best person to be around. She was funny, loving, corny, and most of all she knew how to make you feel special and appreciated.
She is preceded in death by Bill Taylor, J.T. Spears, Glenda Rike, Ruthie Keenum, Jarlene Graham, Janet Spears and Brittany Sanders.
Violet is survived by Marisol Sanders, Teresa Mask, and Darla Sanders; kids, Paul David Sanders Jr., John Timothy Sanders, Cheryl Rose Ashley, and Teresa Gail Mask; stepkids, Rhonda Carrier, Dewayne Taylor, Terry Taylor, Michael Taylor, and Scott Taylor; grandkids, Darla Sanders, Robert Mask, Amanda Larson, James Sanders, Jennifer Loredo, Christina Thomson, Paul Kurtis, Zeth, Adrien, Nathanael, DeAnna, Kristy, David, Johnathan, Megan, Kayla, Noah, Josh, Lesley, Bethany, DaKota, Aaron, Christopher, Kristina, Justin, Cammron, and Tiffany Conner; and great-grandkids, Marisol Sanders, Robert Mask Jr., Breyonna Conners, Shane, Ryan, and many others.
Violet was a loving, caring, hardworking mother and grandmother. She was a seamstress, and clothes making was one of her many passions. She loved playing her tablet in her bed with covers and the heater on sometimes, watching Naked & Afraid or Hallmark Christmas Movies, ice skating, and traveling with her loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation for Violet Rose will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. Burial will follow at a later date.
