Viola Oletha Wallace, age 91, entered into rest on October 27, 2022, in Garland, Texas. She entered into life on March 6, 1931, in Seagoville, Texas to Melvin Ree and Nettie Baker. Viola was raised in Seagoville, Texas, and graduated from Seagoville High School in 1949.
She married Raymond O. Wallace in 1954 and the couple had one child. Viola worked as a Clerk at the Brunini Law Firm in Jackson, Mississippi for numerous years. She was also employed at Bob Hand Photography and Aerial Photography before moving to Texas. She later sold Funeral Supplies after moving back to Texas in Seagoville; she worked for Pulty Real Estate Company as a Clerk for a short time. Her greatest achievement was the time that she spent as a City Councilwoman for the City of Seagoville, Texas, and was influential in getting an after-school program set up for Seagoville High School.
In her spare time, Viola enjoyed needle-pointing and embroidering, spending quality time spoiling her two grandkids, playing with her dogs, staying active in her community, and helping her friends and neighbors in need.
Her family and friends will remember her as a beautiful, loving, compassionate, caring, and giving person.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Ree and Nettie Baker; and her husband, Raymond O. Wallace.
Viola is survived by her son, Robert Jenky Wallace, and wife Linda of Garland, Texas; granddaughter, Janda Hefner of Rockwall, Texas; grandson, Robert David Wallace of Rockwall, Texas; eight great-grandchildren: Tara McSpedden, Jessica Hefner, John Stephen Hefner Jr., Emily Hefner, Robert Hunter Wallace, Jax Wallace, Jake Wallace, and Dylan Wallace of Rockwall, Texas; four great-great-grandchildren: Tayler, Rowan, Olivia, and Stetson McSpedden of Fate, Texas; sister in law, Dorothy Fleming of Sherman, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Viola will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
