Tommy Smith

Thomas Christopher Smith was born on October 29, 1948, in Paducah, Texas. He passed away at the age of 74 on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife of nearly 50 years of natural causes.

Tommy was a veteran of the US Army as he served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Lineman. He was known best for the love he had for his wife and family. He loved to have a good time with family and friends while drinking a cold one and cooking on the grill. He loved his music and occasionally you could catch his dance moves. He had the most contagious laugh and his smile lit up the room. Tommy was a loving husband, and father but was best known as Papa.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father Dorothy and Clayton Smith, his son-in-law Billy Williams, granddaughter Casey, nephew Donnie, sister-in-law Marsha, nieces Karen and Jessica, and many other loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Smith of Tool, son Chris Smith and significant other Veronica of Farmersville, daughters Rhonda Smith and husband Keith of Tool, Barbie Reed and husband Cody of Kemp. Grandchildren Angel, Jessica, Christopher, Summer, Lillian, Lacey, Faith, Presley, Conor, and Cody-J, Great-grandchildren Ayven, Myles, Braylia, Harley, Ava, Levi, and Paxton. Sister Claudette Combs and husband Don of Linden, Brother Ted Brady, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held on January 7th.
