She was born on March 31, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Edward and Bertha Spain. Shirley was raised in Seagoville and Combine Texas and graduated from Seagoville High School in 1957. Shirley was a Real Estate Broker at Century 21 where she worked for more than 50 years. She was not only a great Real Estate Broker, but also a very successful investor.
In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sitting on the deck of her lake house watching all of the lake activities, always in the company of one of her dogs. She enjoyed meeting new people with her real estate career and traveling with her friends. She loved to play cards and dominoes.
Her family and friends will always remember her as an outgoing, loving person who was a hard worker. She was always active and loved to enjoy life.
She is preceded in death by her loving son, Bradley Ritchie; a brother, Gene Remy, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Wendeborn and husband Ronnie of Rockwall; her granddaughter, Melaynee Kovar of Mabank; her grandson, James Cole Porter of Addison; three great-grandkids, Aiden, Andrew, and Allison Kovar of Mabank; two of her brothers, Tommy Spain and wife Victoria of Garland and Gale Spain of Combine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
