Robert A Claxton

Robert Allen Claxton was born on August 14, 1947 to Robert Oliver and Marie Hanes Claxton in Dallas, Texas. He went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2018. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years Rita Lustig Claxton, daughter Annette Payton and husband Jeff, son Eric Claxton and wife Jessica, grandchildren Jacob, Mariah, Emily and Whitney Payton, James Claxton and Valittie Garretson. He is also survived by father in law Harold Lustig, brothers in law Bill Lustig and wife Jackie, Ken Lustig and wife Nelda, and sister in law Beth Freiga as well as a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Robert was passionate about being a member of the Seagoville Sunset Lions Club and working with the Lions Camp New Horizons for children with diabetes as well as the Lion Sight and Tissue Foundation. He loved NASCAR and all things related to classic cars. He also found great joy in his cats Trixie and Dixie who kept him company daily. He was a man that loved his family and thought his grandchildren were the greatest gifts God ever gave him.
