Phyllis Ann Toland

She was born on November 16, 1966 in Dallas, Texas to James Monroe and Phyllis Orelia Slough. She married Kenneth Toland in 1991 and the couple had five children.

She loved spending time with her family and being the best Meme to her grandkids. You would find her hosting family gatherings, camping, planning vacations, crafting, baking and putting a smile on everyone’s face. She was a best friend to many.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a compassionate and beautiful soul. She was most definitely the life of the party; always dancing and making jokes.

She never met a stranger and was considered a second Mom to many, the “fun” Mom.

She was caring, funny, dependable and generous. Her final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ donation; she was able to save three lives.

She is preceded in death by her father James Slough, brother Tommy Curtis, and son Jordan Toland.

Those left to cherish her memory are spouse Kenneth Toland, mother Phyllis Slough and sister Diane Bennett and husband Tony. Children: Tiffanie McGuire and husband Johnny; Staci Volcik and husband Mark; Samantha Toland and Dylan Click; Stephanie Ryan and husband Chris. Daughter-in-law Lauren Toland. Grandchildren: Collin, Jaxson and Faith McGuire, Zy Turner; Madison and Emma Volcik; Brooklyn Williams and Marlee Shetler; Knox and Liam Ryan. Great-grandchildren: Blakley Crowder, Laiken Shetler and Reagan Toland.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 10AM with Pastor Tim Brewer officiating at Point View Baptist Church, 110 FM 3039, Combine, TX 75159.
